The truth might surprise you.
Not long ago, I had a deep conversation with a man who struggled all his life with the label of ‘mentally challenged’. While he was outgoing, friendly, hardworking, caring and a real intellectual, there were times that his job drained him so much that he didn’t even have the energy to leave the house, much less carry on an intelligent conversation. Because of this erratic behavior, he began to believe that he was ‘mentally challenged’.
If you’re struggling with a label that limits you as a person, and you know that you are so much more than what others say you can be, then here’s how to turn things around.
First of all, I want to challenge your thinking and tell you one important thing that would change your life.
You are not mentally challenged.
Don't ever believe anyone who says you are just because you can't do everything or have all that you want.
You know what the real problem is? You're smart, and what you're doing right now bores you so much that it makes you feel like this. When what you do around the clock does not connect with what you're meant to be as a person, it makes you feel tired, brain dead, lazy, unmotivated, lacking in self-confidence–basically everything that you don’t like about yourself.
I would encourage you to throw off the lie that you're mentally challenged in any way, and start believing that you can be all that you want to be, and more.
The simple fact is, what you need right now is to find something that really inspires you, that really sparks that passion in you and that you really want to have so much that it scares you. So stop trying to be anyone else other than yourself.
I believe that you can be a success simply by being yourself and doing what you love doing, rather than being holed up in a job that you hate trying to run away from everything that you fear. Because someone smart, intelligent and talented like you NEEDS the mental stimulation that only big goals and big challenges can give.
So be confident, believe in yourself and start living like the smart and unique person that you are. About The Author:
