Six Egyptians drowned in a well in an attempt to save a chicken.
In case the words in the cut-out article are too blurry for you to read, we thoughtfully typed everything out just so that you don’t have to squint.
“CAIRO, Egypt – Six people drowned yesterday while trying to rescue a chicken that had fallen into a well in southern Egypt.
An 18-year-old farmer was the first to descend into the 60-foot well. He drowned, apparently after an undercurrent in the water pulled him down, police said.
His sister and two brothers went in to help him, but also drowned.
Two elderly farmers then came to help, but they apparently were pulled down by the same undercurrent.
The bodies of the six were later pulled out of the well in the village of Nazlat Imara.
The chicken was also pulled out. It survived.”

I am probably going to hell for laughing maniacally at this when I first saw it, but at least I can rest assure that everyone of you reading this is going to join me there in the afterlife too. I especially enjoyed the last 2 sentences. My favorite character survived! Yay!
