From 19 Aug to 29 Aug, the Japanese Film Festival Singapore 2010 brings 31 Japanese classics, independent cinema and award-winning films to the National Museum of Singapore. Based on the theme of 'Youth', these films offer a glimpse into the Japanese film history, its culture and its filmmakers' commentaries on the topic.
Works featured include 'Fish Story', 'Air Doll' and 'Water Flower' from the Japanese New Wave, which is a major turning point in the history of Japanese cinema, as well as films by directors from the NDJC program and the PIA Film Festival in Tokyo.
Tickets go at $11 for the public, $10 for a Singapore Film Society Member, and $9 for students, senior citizens and NSF.
