The Chocolate Research Facility is no laboratory but it is sure serious about chocolate.
The chocolate boutique offers an impressive collection of 100 flavours, ranging from Pure Vanilla to Sichuan Pepper. Series include Classic, Fruit, Double Fruit, Exotic, Nut, Connoisseur, Tea and Alcohol. What's more, there are also seasonal flavours and series. This year's Spring/Summer seasonal series boasts exotic blends such as 'Singapore: Durian in Milk Chocolate' and 'Bangkok: Tom Yam in Milk Chocolate'.
Each bar of chocolate is packaged in cool wrappers according to series. For example, the Classic series comes in solid sweet pastels while the Exotic series comes in animal prints. The inside is also split into various sized cubes from small to extra large, whichever your craving upon opening up is.
Beyond its chocolate, the design-savvy shop has also an interesting store design. The ingenious store interiors resemble an actual laboratory with cold white tiles but with telling signs of liquid chocolate seeping through its corners. Extra supplies are also kept in compartments as in a medical hall or resembling a hospital.
Besides chocolate, the Chocolate Research Facility also carries a sweet selection of chocolate-related merchandise such as mugs, t-shirts and notepads among others.
