On Saturday November 5th 2011 Mediacorp organized a marathon 8 hour concert, Meradio Rocks the Marina as a celebration of Radio Singapore's 75th anniversary and all things to do with local music featuring a virtual who's who of the current music landscape of Singapore. FreshGrads' photographer was there to cover the event, and the photo essay captures some of the highlights.

Singapore's Music scene is not only alive but it is kicking and rocking as the following photo essay illustrates (mouse over and click for full image).

In the shadow of one our landscape's icons, a silent prayer and offering is made to the gods for no rain.
Fans of all shapes and sizes gathered in anticipation for the music that they look forward to rocking out with.

Max Surin hands the baton off to his son's band, the Auditory Effect. 2 Generations of Singaporean musicians performed for those who were there to see it.
Icon Douglas Oliverio belts out rock classic I can't get no satisfaction with his band mate Satellite.
70's rockers Matthew and the Mandarins show they've still got their stuff by jamming out at MeRadio rocks the Marina, a showcase for all things local.
