ARE you good at mental sums, able to do quick calculations at the drop of a card, and have a head for figures?

That accurately describes 22-year-old Geraldine Wong, who will begin a career as a dealer inspector at the upcoming Marina Bay Sands integrated resort when it opens on April 27th.

She reveals that she was actually attracted to the mathematics - and mental calculations - involved in her job.

Her trainer, Ms Kirsten Wagener, assistant casino manager at Marina Bay Sands, said that dealer inspectors have to oversee up to four tables, be able to work independently and be deadly accurate while fast on their feet.

But if that doesn't suit you, besides the 1,850 dealers and dealer inspectors already hired, Marina Bay Sands plans to fill another 5,000 positions in areas like food and beverage and retail.
