Erskine Road is full of quirky boutiques selling everything from fashion to food, but the best spot for home accessories is this stylish lifestyle store, Egg3. Situated right at the end of the short lane, it illustrates the point that indeed the best things are kept for last.
Its novelty products are from all over the world and some, discovered from Singapore's own designer talents. Egg3's products are simple with a quirky twist. From do-it-yourself CD-holder, RoboCard by local independent designer GaGatree, to Victorian-inspired cushions and trays, to wall decals that will brighten up a wall in minutes, there is something for everyone. Hmm, even Phua Chu Kang, who may just look better with that fashionable pair of polka-dotted Wellington boots.
What's more, the branch at Joo Chiat offers a chill-out cafe within for customers to feed a hungry stomach and rest their eyes after a visual feast.
