It is not often you find books that are local, especially in Singapore. But the Drom Store, by artists Stanley Tan and Antoinette Wong, has created one sweet book that celebrates the unique childhood memories in 1980s and 1990s Singapore.
Besides chronicling old games such as "chi ku pak" and "Pepsi Cola 1, 2, 3" that are overshadowed by PSPs and Wii stations now, included are also several amusing lingoes and poems that would cause a few smiles and even some blushing at our past childishness.

Some of the games may not be familiar if you are from the younger generation but you might just find one or two that would touch a heartstring. Or, you could also have a fun time showing the book to your parents or older friends, laughing, recalling and simply reminiscing. A great coffee table book to have, and one that would make a fabulous gift for your childhood friends.
