Lollipops are supposed to a fun, sweet and colorful sugary treat. Lollipops brighten up anyone's day with its intensely sweet flavor and rainbow swirls especially after you've managed to put yourself through a traumatizing dentist ordeal. Lollipops are everything and more, but what lollipops are NOT supposed to be is the stuff of nightmares. However, someone has successfully and sadistically came up with a NOPE lollipop containing sheep's innards encased in the animal's own stomach.
Haggis is a traditional Scottish pudding that seemed to have been conceived by the devil himself. Described as nutty and savory, haggis is basically sheep's pluck (heart, liver and lungs) boiled with lard and oatmeal all wrapped up in sheep's stomach.
Like as if that wasn't revolting enough, a London-based food artist PenfoldPlant
, decided to accomplish the impossible and made it even more repelling by introducing haggis lollipops. He has even made the recipe for his unique tripe pops available for download at this website
so you could cook this up in the comforts of your own home and drive away any remaining friends you have left in your life.
We don't know if this food artist is trolling or actually being serious when he described his dish as “Delightful parcels of sheep innards on a stick!”
“It's that time of the year again. We've put up with the misery of having to eat turkey and potatoes and chocolate and candy throughout the winter holidays, but now we can finally breathe a sigh of relief and tuck into that one meal we wait all year for: haggis,” continues the inventor of the nasty looking stomach popsicles.
Yeah... well... I think I'll just stick to deep fried mars bars for now.
